"You should pack up some treats for Kyle"-My mom, complaining once again about how skinny Kyle is.

Bonjour mes amis! Sorry it's been too too long since I've updated. I've just been absent minded I guess. But now I have some spare time while my mom is out on a boat party with her co-workers. Lately things have been really summer-y and nice. Sunday was Brittany's open house and it was so great to just hang out with everyone and be outside. They had such good food too! I ate like 3 bowls of cherries! Then we all went swimming in the lake at sunset and went out on the paddle boat. It was just amazing to see the sun set. It's been a long time since I've seen stars, me and Kaity saw a shooting one! And there was a thunder storm far away and we could see all the lightening coming out of this giant storm cloud. It was beautiful.

I've just been babysitting a lot lately and seeing Kyle and Kaity. I'm getting a lot of sun, which I'm so not complaining about. I think it's true that sunlight really can make you happier because I've been in such a lovely mood as of late. It also probably has to do with my yoga class. Even thought it means I have to wake up early on Saturday mornings, it really does make my day so much brighter. And I love Courtney and just chatting with her. We were the only two people in class on Saturday. I felt bad for her, but at the same time it was nice to just relax and talk for a bit. Yoga really helps me forget about everything else going on in my life and just allows me to focus on breathing and the poses. It really does help you clear your mind. I highly recommend you pick up a class somewhere.

Hmm...what else? I've just finished the 3rd Twilight book. Amazing. I tried to make it last, but I finished it before I had anything left to read so today I decided to read old back issues of Ellegirl. Ellegirl was my favorite magazine before it got canceled and I switched over to Teen Vogue. As much as I do love Teen Vogue, I really really miss Ellegirl. It was the perfect magazine for me. I'm glad I kept all my old issues in perfect condition so I can re-read them on days like today. If you're ever at your library or the Strand you should check for old issues, they're wonderful.

Earlier yesterday I went bowling with Kaity and her brothers and their friend. It was hysterical! They're all so funny. We all came up with fake names. I was Zoey 101 and Kaity was Mrs. Joe Jonas. How appropriate! I think my best score was like 53. Yeah I suck at bowling! But it was still super fun. And then we all got pizza for dinner and Kevin was laughing which made me laugh and then I started crying I was laughing so hard, which I think is one of the best feelings in the world.

Last night I saw the Sex and the City movie [again!] with Mal, Kaity, Britt, Memer, Alison and Maria. It was so much fun. It was great to just be with a group of girls again. I think that's something I miss the most about school. I miss living with the girls. I miss having sleepovers every night and eating all our meals together and watching movies and laughing 24 hours a day 7 days a week. But luckily we'll all be reunited in 14 days in El Paso! But back to last night. So we all met at Britt's house and we stopped at Kroger first to get some snacks and then hauled butt to Great Lakes. We arrived JUST in time. And we happily discovered movies are only $5.00 on week nights. Score! The movie was even better the second time. And especially with my closest group of friends here in Michigan. I sat next to Mal and she let me cry on her shoulder at the sad parts and rest my head on her shoulder. It was nice too because she watched the show all the time. It was just a night full of tears and laughter.

So that's what's new with me. I miss Fred Flare a lot. And the city in general. In fact I'm doing a guest blogging spot on FredFlare.com this summer so you should check it out. My first post went up yesterday which was a review of Camp Rock, the Jonas Brothers movie on Disney Channel. Me and Kaity and Natalie had our own little party which you can read about over on the site. It was a lot of fun. I always feel so...young when I'm with them. Haha!

The puppies from my last entry.

Now I'm off to the library real quick to check out some books so I have something to read besides old magazines. Even though I'm loving the nostalgia of the back issues! Don't get me wrong. It's great to revisit what was up and coming in 2005, but I've had my eye on Barbara Walter's memoir called Audition for a couple weeks and it's just calling my name. Until next time lovers!

Much Love.
Jewlie.

"Dump the boyfriends. Get a puppy."-This guy selling puppies over by Great Lakes Crossing.

So summer is good since I updated like...2 days ago or something. I babysat for the Rogowski kids and they were angels and I have a whole bunch of dates lined up with them now which is FABULOUS because I need the money for EP! But really. I had fun with them. They're sweet hearts. And then yesterday I just like lazed around, watched Ellen [I LOVE her] and then I hung out with Kaity and Natalie. We went to Old Navy and Circuit City and then we saw this guy selling Puppies at a gas station so we stopped to see them and he let us hold them and talked to us for like an hour [wow THAT was a run on sentence if I ever wrote one]. He was a war veteran and he was really cool. We also went to Starbucks and I was up until like 3:00. BOO. OH! And Mal got her MacBook yesterday so me and Kaity met her at Caribou Coffee to help her use it. We're having a Mac party next Wednesday! I love Mal. Girrrrrl is SO funny!

I thought YouTubers might have thought I died or something so I decided to do a little Vlog. Bet you missed these!

Yeah I know that was COMPLETELY random and pointless. But I was bored. Give me a break.

Much Love.

"I love Ellen. She makes dreams come true."-Me, on my love for Ellen Degeneres.

So I'm finally out of my funk! It's about time, I know. Nothing new is really going on with me. I've got my first baby sitting job tomorrow with the Rogowski kids, whom I babysat last summer. They're great kids. They were in my group at Camp Invention last year. I seriously cannot wait for Camp Invention. It was actually a lot of fun last year getting to see all the kids take apart a bunch of old electronics and try and invent new things. Although I have to say, I think my favorite part was using recyclables to make alien costumes and then pretend I was an alien for the kids in my group.

El Paso is in 30 days [thank you Fabi for starting the count down]. I really can't wait. But at the same time I know that once EP comes, that means summer is more than half way over! And I'm SO not ready for that. But still, I have loads to look forward to before El Paso. I have open houses, baby sitting, the Jo Bro's concert and I'm MCing a dance recital next week. So, lots to get ready for!

This summer is actually full of things to do. On top of all that other stuff I just mentioned there's working at Dance Camp, filming Power Players, Open Houses and perhaps the Dolly Parton concert with my mom?! Yes, I'm finally coming out of the closet. Thanks to FF I actually know a lot of Dolly Parton songs, and even have a favorite! It's Jolene, in case you were wondering. And it just so happens my mom loves Dolly too and she's coming to DTE this summer! OH! And my mom and I are seeing Sheryl Crow which is a classic for us.

But let me back up a second, because you're probably wondering what the heck Power Players is. Well it's this movie that my friends Matt and Seano wrote 2 summers ago. We filmed almost the entire movie back then, but never finished the final scene. Well Seano decided he wanted to revisit the project this summer. We mostly have a new cast due to scheduling problems but I"m back and still involved. My role has kind of jumped around. I was supposed to be assistant director and then I was supposed to take over as one of the roles but due to scheduling conflicts of my own, I am back to my original position as camera woman! I know I know, I'm not the type you would think would love to be BEHIND the camera, but I do love it! And I get to work with this crazy camera thingy that's shaped like a circle sort of, and the camera sits in it. When I'm using it, I call myself Weebo [like from Flubber] because for some reason, that's what it reminds me off. The basic synopsis of the movie is that there are these 5 friends and they get sucked into a video gaming system and become the characters and have to get through the game in order to get back to reality. It's actually REALLY funny, and I never even played video games as a kid.

[The Old Cast]
Last Friday I worked on Power Players most of the day and then I went to a concert with Kaity, Nick and Britt and Stephen. The weather was insane! It's been so stormy here in Michigan lately! I thought we were going to die, but almost dying with your friends in insane weather is half the fun of summer. Luckily, we made it to the show alive and it was actually really good. We saw tons of people from school and a couple of other people from outside of school and just had a really good time listening to some really good music. The band we saw is some kids from my old high school and they're called Back To The River, Back To the Forest [please note the ET quote!] and I highly recommend you check them out on myspace!

Saturday morning I had yoga with Nick and then we had breakfast at LA Cafe. OMG I missed that place! I had toast and coffee, my usual and I just got to catch up with Nick and talk. He's such a funny kid. I love hanging out with him. When I got home from breakfast I got ready for open houses! It's that time of year again! I picked up Kyle and we went to Sean's open house where I discovered this game that apparently is pretty popular at Open Houses since it was at 3 of the 4 we went to that day. It's called Ladder Ball. It's really weird. And I suck at it. Hard core style. Then we went to Curt's open house. I love Curt! And duh. Curt is Kyle's best friend. Then we went to David's and saw most of the gang there. Anne Marie took these super cute pics!

And then we went to Mal's. Mal had the most delicious cake I've ever tasted and we played Guitar Hero. I love Open Houses. You get to see like a bunch of people you love, sit around and talk and eat amazing food. Plus, baby pictures! On Sunday I went to two more open houses. Darcie, whom I haven't seen in FOREVER and Rachey who is going to NYU next year! Rachey's open house was insane because we were outside in a tent and all of a sudden this CRAZY storm hit and the wind blew the tent stakes into the air and rain was everywhere and we were all huddled in the middle of this tent stuck! But as per usual, I made it out alive [so did everyone else]. But there was tons of damage. Trees were down, power lines were down, power was out, it was crazy! I guess tornado sirens were going off too but I never heard them.

But wow. I've written a ton. Again. And I'm not sure anyone is still reading the blog now that I'm not at NYU. Oh wellll. Enjoy your week lovelies!

Much Love.
Jewlie.

"I graduated. You're no longer with a high schooler."-Kyle, on graduating! Yay for him!

Wow. It's been a long time since I blogged. And I actually REALLY missed it! I just feel like I have nothing to blog about. My days are pretty boring as of late. The only really exciting thing was Prom last Thursday. I'm blogging because I've been in sort of a rut these past few days and I feel like blogging might get me out of my funk. So let's see.

Well I got the VERY SAD news that Amanda is leaving FF and getting a new job. Luckily she'll still be in the city, working in Union Square so maybe we'll get lunch or something when I go back. And she'll still stop by the warehouse the store [!!!]. Her last day is in 9 days! I'm sad I don't get to say goodbye. We finally got a new photog to replace Natasha too. She's one of Jen's friends, her name is Chaunte. I'm sure I'll love her. That's about all the FF news there is. Oh! We got some super cute new items in. Check it yo.

Last week was the senior's last week of school. I went to the Senior Walk. In case you have no idea what that is [I find most non-CHSers don't] it's after the senior's take their final exam and then they all put their caps and gowns on and walk through all the halls while the students and teachers stand in the hallways to clap them out. And they play really sappy music. I went with Elle. It was so fun to catch up with her. I saw all my friends and then we went out to lunch at Pete's. I forgot how much I love Pete's coney island. I mean, student discount and it's way cuter! DUH! Then Prom was Thursday. I went with Kaity to her hair appointment and then to Depot Park to take pictures of everyone and fulfill my BFF duties of holding her purse and such. It was so fun to see everyone all dressed up in the park. Loves it! Then I went over to Sam's and we played Rock Band for numerous hours as per usual.
Me, Kaity and Nats
Memer and Kaity
Nick and Kaity
The entire group. WOW!
Funny picture!
Kaity and I at Senior Walk. [Elle is in the background!]

Oh. Well I guess I haven't blogged since all that Rock Band stuff went down. Basically me and Sam are ADDICTED to Rock Band. One night her, Seano, The King and I all played for 6 straight hours. We played until 3 AM! It was insane. We started a band called Freak Out! and then it just kind of spawned off of that. I'm getting really good at the guitar. Plus I know a bunch of rock songs now. And then me and Sam started a new band called Holler At Ya Boy [Sue says that ALL the time]. Mostly we just like to make ourselves look cool and play a bunch of songs so we can buy new clothes. HAHA. Our next band is going to be called Twenty Dolla Holla. HAHA. We're so lame. But yeah we play ALL THE TIME. It's a serious summer addiction. I'm working my way up to hard.

What else...I've been a reading fool. Just crappy teen romance novels but still. I've read a ton. And I'm loving it. The next thing I'm reading is Eclipse [FINALLY!] and then Breaking Dawn comes out in August! In case you're unfamiliar with the Twilight series...well you should get on that. They're amazing. But I'm not a freaky obsessed person like some people I know. I do love the books though. And speaking of reading...yours truly is in Seventeen this month. I'm showing my Jo Bro's love in the section where the letters to the editor are in the July issue. CHECK IT YO! I've been a magazine whore lately. I have Seventeen, Teen Vouge, the special Jo Bro's People, Vanity Fair, Cosmogirl! and Vogue. Yikes! Lots of reading.

The mass amounts of reading has lead to mass amounts of my other summer addiction...laying out. My chest is SO flipping tan! I'm going to be black by the time El Paso comes around. Seriously. I'm REALLY tan. For me anyway. Compared to Kyle I'm still really white. He's like a zillion percent Italian though. I love laying out. Especially on the boat. It's so relaxing. Completely unproductive, but relaxing. Plus it gives me an excuse to make awesome mixes. I just made like the most amazing one ever today. Which reminds me, if anyone wants me to make them a mix, I'd love to. I made David a killer one a couple weeks ago and now I'm like dying to make them for everyone!

I can't think of much else exciting stuff. I've mostly been hanging out with Kaity. We go to the mall and lay out and go to Caribou and all those random fun things we always do. Mostly we've been chilling at other peoples houses. I've been blending into the group. Me and Memer are like basically friends now. Haha. But no, we've been to Mal's, Nick's and Kelli's. I'm integrating really well. HAHA. I did see the Sex and the City movie with Elle. OMG. I actually loved it. Now I'm dying to see the show. I'm totally a Charlotte. But it was so good, I could easily see it again! And of course I've been spending a lot of time with Kyle at his house with his family. I love his family. They're like the best family ever. Except like the Alty's. And the Jerolamon's.

So wow. I've blogged a lot in this entry. I'll try to be more diligent about updating here. I really do miss the blog. And actually it's really funny because I was reviewing my college app essays today and in one of them, for my goals I listed making a blog to document my struggles and stuff. I totes forgot about that! And I ended up doing it! Though I can't say I struggled much. I had a really successful first year. Anyway, I'm off to read some more!

Much Love.
Jewlie.
