"There is no fashionably late when you have reservations."-Kayla, on our lateness for dinner.

It's pretty late and I have the "London Tipton's Really Great" song stuck in my head so this entry is gonna be short and tomorrow I'll write more about today...if that makes any sense? Haha. So today was pretty low key. Me and Susan sort of slept in and lazed around until like 12:30. I was checking my email and discovered I had one from one of my professors for this semester reminding me to check blackboard and DO THE READINGS FOR TUESDAY/THURSDAYS CLASS!!!!! Wait...WHAT?! I have homework and I haven't even been to the first class yet! That's insane. So I go to see what the articles are and there's all these REALLY LONG articles posted for the whole semester. Now my first thought is: I CANNOT print these from my printer, it's TOO much. So naturally I think of good old Third North and it's free printing. So me, Susan and Lindsay all take the NYU bus up to Washington Square and walk to Third North to print all these articles.

Well about 80 pages later, we decide to have a late lunch at Third North! It was so weird eating there again. Of course there was nothing good because it was Sunday and on Sunday Third North is dumb and basically leaves breakfast out until 4:00 and then t's steak night. But I had a veggie burger and it was tasty bits! After lunch we headed back down to Water and Susan and I watched Disney Channel and hung out with Fabi and Lindsay. It was really nice because it was the first time we really got to catch up, all four of us. We decided to check out the gym and explore a little inside the dorm. The gym was really nice and Lindsay decided to run for a bit on the treadmill so the rest of us went back to the room.

Now. The past 3 days there has been this giant trunk outside of our RA's room and every time I walk past it, I'm SUPER tempted to open it up. Because it's been there for so long and I don't know what it's in it, so OF COURSE I'm curious! And I was all "I'm gonna do it" but then I freaked out and we all ran inside. HAHA. After Lindsay got back we all got ready because we had a little night out planned with Kayla to go to Lucky Cheng's for dinner and a show.

It was really great to see Kayla again and we all chatted for a little bit...and then we realized we were running WAY late [mostly thanks to Kayla. As per usual] and we had to HUSTLE to get there on time. However, we were still 15 minute late. So I have to admit...Lucky Cheng's is a very interesting place WHICH Kayla picked out. For those who don't know [which is probably all of you] it's a drag place. But actually, it was a hoot. We had a great time and while it's not something I'll probably ever do again, it was a once in a life time experience and something I will never forget.
Kayla's face here is SO paparazzi shot-esque. And her dress is HOT.
I cut our heads off on accident. But now we look like a Gossip Girl cover.
On the bus.
Us and our waitress.

That all being said, I'm super tired and promise to post a couple more pictures from tonite tomorrow, once Fabi and everyone else puts them up on Facebook. OH! And don't forget...GOSSIP GIRL PREMIERE TOMORROW!!!!!

Much Love.

"They're like the original Edward and Bella"-Me, on Rogue and Ice Man.

FYI: This is a pretty boring entry because I'm super distracted right now.

Today was quite the adventure! Susan, Lindsay and I decided we would take a little trip out to Staten Island to go to the mall there. It was a LOOOOONNNGGG journey! First we had to walk to the ferry, all the while trying to find a Dunkin Donuts to get some coffee. We never found a DD but we caught the ferry just in time, and it was a nice 30 minute ride across the river. Once we got off the ferry, were once again just in time to catch a bus to the mall. The bus ride was over 40 minutes long! So it was quite the commute!
Us on the ferry to Staten Island!
I forgot to take pictures of the mall, but I snapped this one right before we got on the bus to go back to Water.

We finally got to the mall and to be honest, it wasn't that great. I mean, it had a Hollister and a Delias but nothing else really good. After our long trip we were starving so we went to Apple Bee's and had a little lunch. Then, when we were in Hollister I ran into this girl from two of my classes last semester, who lives in Staten Island and actually works at that Hollister! So we got to catch up for a bit and then Susan, Lindsay and I decided to head back to the dorm.

Basically, it was kind of a dumb trip, but it was still fun to spend time together and try a little something new. Plus, now we know we're not really missing out on a lot over there. Actually I didn't like Staten Island at all. It was kind of ugly. Manhattan is definitely the island for me. Once back to the dorm, we were all pretty exhausted because overall it'd been like a 6 hour trip. So I grabbed a Diet Coke and me and Susan watched X-Men and X-Men 2 on TV.

But now I'm off to bed because we've got a big day tomorrow. Details to come!

Much Love.

"What is that? Somebody playing Guitar Hero?"-Lindsay, on the unknown metal music coming from outside...somewhere?

So I'm not gonna lie...I kind of feel like no one reads my blog anymore. And not that I care I guess, but it's kind of a lot of work if I'm only doing it for myself. Oh well. I'm just having a negative nancy kind of day I guess. It's been really low key and just uneventful and kind of dumb. I woke up and had some cereal and coffee. Then I lazed around and watched TV for a while until Susan got up. Then we got dressed and headed up to SoHo to shop, but neither of us were really in the mood so we sort of just walked around aimlessly for an hour or so.

When we got back to the apartment we just chilled out and watched a little TV and complained about how crappy the weather is. Then I went grocery shopping with her. Which I guess was the most exciting part of the day because I went to a different grocery store than the other day and this one had a bunch of Morning Star products so I got some bacon and Chik'N nuggets as well. Mmm! After we got back I emailed Jen my blog for Monday and I think in a bit me, Susan and Lindsay are gonna go out to dinner at this cute little diner down the street.

Me, putting away the groceries.
And that's basically been my day. I've just been really down today about a lot of things in general. I don't really know why, but hopefully it's just a phase and it'll pass. I'm excited for school to start, I'm excited to work more, I don't know, today just hasn't been my day. I really miss Kyle a lot. Whenever we hung out over the summer he would somehow [I swear I STILL don't know how he does it!] sneak a quarter into one of my pockets and I wouldn't even know it, and then later that night a quarter would fall out of my pocket and it would just make me smile because it was just a cute, funny thing for him to do. Today, I went to put my white high tops on and it felt like there was something in my shoe, so I took it off and found a quarter in there. I immediately knew he must have put it there, but I called just to check; sure enough, he said he "had to give me a good bye present". It really just made me miss him even more.

My parents with their deserts, at Serendipity III

Me and my dad in front of the Brooklyn Bridge

The only semi-exciting news is that there seems to be some kind of unknown heavy metal music coming from...somewhere. It's pretty loud and it sounds live, but me and Susan can't locate it anywhere out our windows. It's been playing for over an hour now and it's actually pretty entertaining. Hopefully it stops by tonite though. Only in New York...

"My little monster! We're in love."-Jen, on our reuniting.

Today was like the most eventful day in like 4 months! Seriously! It was pure madness [in a good way!] But first I just gotta say, I'm in love with the song "Shut Up and Let Me Go" by The Ting Tings. Check it out. NOW!

Okay so today was my first day back at FF! It was pure amazingness! Although the day started off a bit rough...I accidently got on an uptown train instead of a Brooklyn bound one! So that was like a 20 minute detour. However, I fixed it no prob and was even 30 minutes early for work! Jen and Chris were at a meeting at the store, but I got to meet Robyn and Chanute, who are new to me, and of course I got to catch up with Mo and Keith. I was extra excited to see Diane! It was straight to picking orders and packing boxes for me, but we only had 64 orders today, which is like a record low...bummer. But then Jen and Chris got back and Sugar and Jen Jen were reunited at last! We had a "Welcome Back" meeting [just Jen and I] and basically Jen told me tons of exciting news: I now get 60% discount on clothes and accessories because we're going to have to wear FF stuff when we work in the store, I GET TO WORK IN THE STORE 2 DAYS A WEEK WHEN IT OPENS [but Shhh! It's TOP secret!] and we're having a sample sale next Saturday. Yay! So after picking/packing was done, I helped Diane out by doing something I found SUPES enjoyable. I got to make the colorblock Talking Japanese watches! I got to pick out all the colors I wanted to put together and then I got to take the watches apart and put them back together. It was a lot funner than it sounds! And I got a little bonding time with Robyn about getting my ears pierced and going to NYU [she was MEGA impressed] and basically I love her [but still miss Amanda A TON].

After work I checked my texts and got one from Kaity with MORE exciting news: SELENA GOMEZ AND HENRIE DAVID ARE COMING TO THE DISNEY STORE ON 5TH AVE NEXT SATURDAYYYYY! So I immediately texted Susan and we both FLIPPED and we're SO going! OMG David Henrie is SO hot and I LOVE Selena! [Team Demi/Selena!]

So I got home and had like an hour long convo with my mom to update her on all the awesome-ness going on in my life while making a MASSIVE Fred Flare wishlist with which to use my new 60% discount. Which reminds me, I picked up my new tooth earrings and my new PB&J ones! SO CUTE! And basically then I unpacked my box from Fabi's storage, made my bed, hung up my clothes, ate some food, etc.
Aww isn't he cute?!
They looked so good I wanted to take a bite!

Later tonite I'm having a video chat with Kaity because we haven't talked/seen each other in FOREVZ. Also I got a couple more school books so I've been flipping through those. But now I think I'm gonna relax, have some tea and maybe watch a little teevz while I wait for Linds, Susan and Fabi to get back from all their respective locations. More adventures to come!

Much Love.

"Guess what. WE HAVE DISNEY!!!!"-Me, on the excitement at finding that channel 53 is Disney Channel!!

So it's late. And I'm exhausted. Which basically means this post is going to be in list form.

Things I did today:
  • Went to Bed Bath and Beyond to get random stuff that I needed.
  • Grocery shopping. Mmm! Food!
  • Decorating/Organizing my room. Yay Jo Bro's posters!

    Sup B-R-DOUBLE O-K-LYN Bridge.
  • Walk around South St. Seaport
  • Dinner with the rents. Spectac view. Right on the water.
  • Aimless wandering. Cool.
  • TALKING TO KYLEEE! Even though it was kinda brief. It was MUCH needed. We keep missing each other. Sucky.
  • Trying to watch The Hills.
  • Failing to figure out what channel is MTV.
  • Picking out nearly $100 worth of stuff I "need" at American Apparel.
In other [brief] news: Susan is coming tomorrow! She'll be here at like 3:00 and we'll probably hit up American Apparel, Urban, Forever21, and then maybe visit Kayla if she's home. Then it's off to party it up at our place [maybe meet our neighbors?] watch movies and of course, DISNEY CHANNEL! Oh. And I'm taking my first ever trip to Ikea tomorrow. I'm pretty much ecstatic about that.

Coming soon: Pictures of last night's last minute trip to Serendipity [no celebs spotted] and of course pictures of me and Susan's Sleepover extravaganza. More news to come!

Much Love.

"No! I insist! You take it!"-Random guy, on insisting he tip me $5 for helping his son move in...? What...?

Hola everyone in Michigan! Today was an INSANEEEEEE day. I got up at 8:00 and got ready to move the freshies in! I had a quick breakfast of champions [Cap'n Crunch HOLLA] and then headed uptown to good old Third North. Now let me just have a mini rant on something really quick. I think it's because one of the trains isn't running this weekend at the stop I have to get on at, but the trains are SO FLIPPING SLOW! And it's hotter than the blazes of Hell down there. Seriously. No air conditioning, no air circulation, NOTHING. So I was stuck in the inferno for 20 MINUTES in a 3/4 length sleeved shirt and JEANS! I am an IDIOT for wearing jeans!
Moving in the Freshies was CRAZY!!!
Welcome  Ambassador. HOLLA!

So naturally, I'm already sweating like a pig by the time the train arrives and then it was off to Union Square. It was so weird getting of the uptown train there instead of getting on it. Totally weirded me out. I headed over to Third North and checked in and everything and got to work. It was quite an experience. It was so hot that I ended up rolling my jeans up into Bermuda shorts and rolling the sleeves up on my shirt and then twisting the extra fabric to make it like a belly shirt so that the small of my back wouldn't sweat so much! And it was hard work too! So much lifting and pushing like 200-300 pound carts around for 5 hours!

Yeah. That's right. 5 hours, not 4. NO ONE CAME TO REPLACE ME! So I got stuck working an extra hour before I finally complained that I'd been there since 9:45 and had no bathroom break, no lunch break and no water break like we were supposed to get. But enough complaining. It was still fun. I only moved in one girl, all the rest were boys. Which was fine by me. It was definitely the most straight guys I've ever encountered in my whole NYU experience. There were some cute ones to, not gonna lie. HAHA. But the one girl I moved in was AMAZINGLY friendly and nice. She let me have a water bottle and hang out in the air conditioned room for a bit. SO NICE! Oh...and some guy insisted on tipping me $5 even though I'm pretty sure that's like illegal or something, since it was volunteer work and everything. But I took it and got Dunkin Donuts Iced Coffee for the trip back with it.

OH OH OH! And you'll never guess who I ran into...KAYLA! No idea what she was doing at Third North but she screamed my name and then we hugged each other and jumped up and down and shrieked for like 5 minutes. It was the highlight of my day. I missed her more than I realized. But back to the journey home: I got a bit lost [I know I know! ME, lost in Manhattan??!!] But only for like 4 minutes and by the time I got back to the hotel I took a nice, freezing bath and cooled off.
Water! Check out Facebook for more pictures.
View out my bed room window.
Other view out my bedroom window. BEST OF BOTH WORLDS BABY!
My bed is the tall one with all the stuff on it.
Kitchen!
Kitchen...again.
1/2 of the common room
The other 1/2 of the common room.
Bathroom. WHICH HAS A BATH/SHOWER. Yay!

Later, me and my parents went to see Cirque Dreams and it was SPECTAC! LOVED IT! Seriously, it was amazing. I really want to see the LOVE show but it's only in Vegas. Boo. But still, it was so beautiful, I really really enjoyed it. Tomorrow we're gonna take it easy, get some groceries for me, go to Bed Bath and Beyond for a bit and officially move all my junk in and then maybe go up to Central Park and have desert at Serendipity. But who knows, like I said, no plans- just taking it easy. So yeah. Sorry this was so long! They'll get shorter I promise! Oh and in case you wanna send me mail [PLEASE!] my address is 200 Water street. New York, NY 10038 !!

Much Love.

"The last job is what I like to call "Cart Peeps"-Stacey, on my job tomorrow helping the Freshmen move in. [Why did I capitalize Freshmen...?]

So...here I am! I'm here! In Manhattan. It's been a SUPER long day. Our flight got in at like 10:00 and we took a cab straight to the dorm to drop all my bags off. Let me say, the new place is FABULOUS. I love it! Sue and I's room is like...epic. The whole place is hard wood floors, 2 full bathrooms, full kitchen, spacious common room and the views are PHENOMENAL. Hopefully I'll have pictures of it soon. I don't have internet at the dorm right now [stupid me, packed my ethernet cord in a box in storage...boo] but I swear, I'll post the pics STAT.

Me looking super tired and stressed after a LONG day!

But really. I love it. Out my bedroom window you can see all 3 bridges of the East River and the uptown skyline including an oldie but goodie...the Empire State Building! How exciting! So me and Kyle's tradition of me telling him what color it is will live on! Right now the place is sort of a disaster zone, but we'll get it right soon enough.

After we dropped the stuff off I headed up to Washington Square for my Freshie Move In day extravaganza tomorrow! Our shirts are actually pretty cute [pics to come...?] and I saw a few familiar faces that will be working the same shift as me. I can't believe I'll be moving in Freshmen into MY old dorm. Yay for revisiting Third North! It was a hoot.

When the meeting was over, I bought the rest of my text books and then headed downtown to take a short break with my parents in the hotel room. We met the Sussemen's for dinner at this Italian place that was WAY overpriced and the waiter was SO annoying but the adults seemed to be happy so me and Rachey [a bestie from Michigan who'll be a freshmen this year] were content just tagging along and not really saying much.

Next it was off to see Title of Show! OMG! What a HYSTERICAL show! It's a show about 2 guys writing a show about 2 guys writing a show! GENIUS! But seriously, if you're a fan of the musical theater you MUST check out this show! I loved it. I was a bit stressy about getting a cab back but it all worked out okay in the end. And now I'm here. In the hotel. Typing this. And missing Kyle. And wanting to call him. So yes...it's been a TRES stressful day [as it usually is when my parents are here] but it's over now and tomorrow is a new day. You know you missed me. XOXO.

Much Love.
Jewlie.

"EEEEEEEEEEEE"-Me/Kaity/Kevin/Tim/Nat-Attack, on basically whatever because it's practically our saying for everything!

Well, it's that time of year again, the back to school variety. Kaity left on Friday, Stephen and David left yesterday, Britt Britt leaves today, Nat-Attack leaves Tuesday and Mal Baby leaves Wednesday. That's pretty much everyone except Nick, Kyle and I. I can't believe it's only a matter of days before I'll be back in New York with my parents, moving into our new place. But I don't mean to sound so down about it, I'm actually really pumped! I cannot wait to talk Celeb gossip with Susan and go shopping at Juicy with Fab and hear about all the concerts Lindsay went to. And we're even being reunited with Kayla the Sunday before school starts for a fun night out!

I haven't started packing yet, but I think I'm gonna get on that today since Kyle's hanging out with the guys and I can't get ahold of Nick. I'm kind of intimidated by the idea of having to put all my belongings in suitcases. I have A LOT of clothes. EEEE. It's gonna be hard to pick only my necessities!

I haven't been up to much since my last update. I finished up working at my Disney Princess Ballet camp, which was a total blast and other than that I've just been bumming around, hanging out with Kaity and Kyle and trying to spend the last days of summer wisely.

Last week we had a 80's Themed Roller Skating Extravaganza as sort of a goodbye party and it was hysterical! We all dressed up in neon colors and spandex and just had a blast. We thought everyone would think we looked insane, but actually a bunch of kids came up to us and said we looked awesome. They even wanted to know where we got our outfits! [They were mostly old dance costumes].

Me, Kaity, Nat-Attack, Kevin and Tim went to the Phantom Planet/JACK'S MANNEQUIN!!!/Paramore concert and that was pretty much the last thing I got to do with Kaity. But it was so fun. It was about 45 minutes away so we had some car ride adventures and then it ended up raining the whole night!! We got soaked and we froze our butts off but it was a really high energy and exciting concert. I am OBSESSED with Jack's Mannequin and cannot wait for the new cd to come out Sept. 30th! Me and Kaity and Nats had a lot of fun impersonating the scene kids as well.

Speaking of music the Jo Bro's cd finally came out! A Little Bit Longer is like the most amazing JB cd yet! I love it. I won't rant about it or anything but just go out and buy it! I did a little review of it on the FF Blog so you can check that out if you want. Me, Kaity and Nats were at Target at 8AM to be the first ones to get the special bonus edition the morning it came out! It was totes worth it!

Okay this is getting long, I know, so I'm going to wrap it up. I dyed my hair red and at first I pretty much hated it but now I kind of love it.

So there's that. And yesterday was my Mom's birthday and other than that...well that's pretty much it! T-minus one week until the daily [hopefully shorter] blogs return!

Much Love.
Jewlie.
